Pre-start Preparations

Hi!

My name is Michael. I'm Polish (26) and I never wrote a blog before, but I have decided to document my travel online, so I can use it later for my book, and my friend Robin (Portuguese - 21) advised me to use this website and start on here. 'Hmm...', I though, '...it is a good idea actually.' Especially that I can also update my location and wealthbeing info about myself. So my family and friends will know where I am and what is going on with me.
Only few weeks ago I came up with this decision, I told Robin about it (well, I asked him what he thinks), and he really liked it. It is a long journey, risky and risky even more considering the latest events on the southern side of the 'lake', but also very adventurous, exciting and thrilling! And besides, it is something I wanted to do for a long time, and now... THIS TIME CAME! :)

Hitch-hiking Mediterranean Sea!
Every time we tell someone about it, they're like: 'Wow! Sounds great. So you do it right!' 'But how are you planning it? You gonna need a lot of money probably... Do you have any friends out there? Who are you going to?'
Well it's simple. We not taking lot of money, as the idea is to hitch-hike, so suffiecient amount only will be required, just in order to survive (food). No friends there, just us and adventure, unknown and danger. We do not really think to much about what to expect, but we are doing our research and trying to see the reality of the trip. All we taking with us is tent, sleeping bags and some clothes. Little bit of camping equipement, survival budget, emergency contacts (embassy's details in each country). And that's it! First country - France.
We're going to start properly from City of Marseille (French Riviera). I used to live there some time ago, and there's a beautiful Cathedral de Notre Dame on the top of a hill in the City Centre, which will be a starting and ending point of the travel. Then we plan to turn our heads towards west, Spain. From there is Gibraltar, and then only a small step to Northern Africa.
We hope to kick off in 2-3 weeks, and we're almost ready. Wish us luck! ;)
